Psychiatric Medication Management in South Dakota, North Dakota & Iowa
Getting the right medication, at the right dose, is rarely a one-time decision. Our psychiatric team provides ongoing medication management for mental health, in person at six clinics or by secure telehealth across our region.
Understanding medication management
More than a prescription, a plan that grows with you
Medication management is a guided, ongoing partnership between you and a psychiatric provider. Instead of a single prescription and a wave goodbye, it means an evaluation to understand what is really going on, a thoughtful choice of medication when one is appropriate, and regular follow-up to see how you respond and adjust from there.
That ongoing part matters, because every person's brain and body react differently. At MWI Health, your psychiatric medication management is handled by a board-certified psychiatrist and experienced psychiatric nurse practitioners who take the time to get the fit right, and who coordinate with your therapist so the whole plan works together.
We provide medication management for mental health across South Dakota, North Dakota, and Iowa, so you can start close to home or from your own living room by telehealth. No referral is required, and most people are seen without a long wait.

Medication management questions, answered
Medication management is an ongoing partnership between you and a psychiatric provider who evaluates your symptoms, prescribes the right medication when it is appropriate, and monitors and adjusts it over time. It is far more than writing a prescription. The goal is a plan that fits how your body and mind actually respond.
Your medications are managed by our psychiatric team, led by a board-certified psychiatrist and Chief Medical Officer and supported by experienced psychiatric nurse practitioners. They coordinate with your therapist so your whole plan works together.
We provide medication management for depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, panic disorder, and other mood and anxiety conditions. Care always starts with an evaluation so any medication is matched to an accurate diagnosis.
No. Medication is one option among several, not a requirement. Our providers recommend it only when it is likely to help, explain the benefits and possible side effects, and can combine it with therapy or use therapy alone based on what is right for you.
No referral is needed. You can request an appointment directly and we will help you get scheduled, often without a long wait.
