Individual Psychotherapy Counseling

In a psychotherapy counseling appointment for depression, the patient spends up to 60 minutes with the therapist, who will focus on gaining insight into chronic physical and emotional problems and the underlying reasons for developed thought processes. Taking an in-depth focus of the core issues, our therapists, work with patients to lead them through coping with past traumas to a life filled with personal growth and hope, developing a provider/client relationship that is built on trust.

TMS Therapy

We are now scheduling patients for Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), an alternative solution with proven results to activate regions of the brain that have decreased activity in people with depression. By utilizing a short-pulsed magnetic field to stimulate nerve cells in the brain, TMS provides effective treatment with fewer side effects. FDA-approved to treat Depression, TMS has also been shown effective for clients with Anxiety, ADHD, Chronic Pain, Fatigue, Bipolar Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and Memory Loss.

Spravato® (esketamine)

Now, patients who have a history of trying antidepressants with failed results have a safe, fast-acting solution that is covered by insurance. Spravato® is a newly FDA approved treatment for difficult to treat depression. This medication is a variant of ketamine and is administered nasally. The FDA requires that the treatment takes place in approved centers.

At MWI Health, we take pride in our team-based approach in treating children and adolescents ages 5 and up. It is our goal to support the individual needs of each of child in a collaborative effort with our community partners. This collaborative care model helps us to view the whole picture so that we can uniquely tailor an individualized treatment plan, gathering input from other treatment providers, family, and teachers to best support your child.
