Meet Our Team

My name is Robert Baune, and I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at MWI – Rapid City. I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice from South Dakota State University and hold board certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), with advanced training in medication management and psychopharmacology.  

I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, and psychosis across the lifespan, with the overall goal of improving function and quality of life. My approach emphasizes a holistic understanding of each patient, integrating biological, psychological, and social factors into individualized care.

I chose this profession because I find fulfillment in supporting individuals with complex mental health needs and helping them work toward greater stability and well-being.

Outside of work, I enjoy a variety of activities, including rock climbing, skiing, weightlifting, mountain biking, playing guitar, and reading. I believe these pursuits help me stay balanced and energized, allowing me to provide thoughtful and attentive care to my clients.
