With a Psychiatrists and Mental Health Nurse Practitioners providing comprehensive psychiatric care for all ages from children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric, patients have access to quality care and proven expertise with our team. We specialize in chemical dependency treatment, depression, gene testing, ADHD, anxiety, panic, mood disorders, bipolar, OCD, agoraphobia, insomnia, sleep disorders, and PTSD.

If counseling sessions are what you are looking for, our psychotherapy counseling appointments can be held in our comfortable offices in Sioux Falls, SD, Ames, IA or West Des Moines, IA with options for telehealth, making it easy for people with busy lives, housebound, or rural residents to get time to work through the underlying reasons for thought processes that impact both physical and emotional health.

What We Offer

Adult Psychiatry

We have treated the full range of common psychiatric conditions, including mood disorders such as bipolar and major depression, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder and psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia.

Pediatric Psychiatry

At MWI Health, we take pride in our team-based approach in treating children and adolescents ages 5 and up. It is our goal to support the individual needs of each of child in a collaborative effort with our community partners. This collaborative care model helps us to view the whole picture so that we can uniquely tailor an individualized treatment plan, gathering input from other treatment providers, family, and teachers to best support your child.

Individual Psychotherapy Counseling

In a psychotherapy counseling appointment, the patient spends up to 60 minutes with the therapist, who will focus on gaining insight into chronic physical and emotional problems and the underlying reasons for developed thought processes. Taking an in-depth focus of the core issues, our therapists, work with patients to lead them through coping with past traumas to a life filled with personal growth and hope, developing a provider/client relationship that is built on trust.
